High Bandwidth Memory is the stacked DRAM that gives AI accelerators their terabytes-per-second of bandwidth. Critically, HBM is almost never sold as a discrete part: SK Hynix, Samsung and Micron sell stacks directly to TSMC and GPU/ASIC makers under long-term agreements, and the stack leaves the packaging line already bonded inside a finished accelerator (H200, B200, MI300X, Vera Rubin). The real unit of commerce is HBM-bundled compute.
Moyan Technology helps you source that compute and navigate allocation. As of 2026 the entire year’s HBM output is effectively sold out, so our role is access, guidance and integrated modules — not tray-level stacks.
Indicative per-stack analyst estimates and integration examples are listed in the table on this page (stamped “as of” a date; most stacks are “on request / bulk”).
Can I buy HBM3E or HBM4 stacks directly? Generally no. Stacks are sold in bulk to TSMC and OEMs under NDA/LTA and ship bonded inside accelerators. We source the HBM-bundled compute instead.
What is the difference between HBM3E and HBM4? HBM4 roughly doubles the interface width (2048-bit) and per-stack bandwidth (≥2 TB/s) over HBM3E, at a higher per-GB cost. We can qualify which your platform needs.
Why is HBM so constrained? 2026 output is sold out, with yield on tall stacks and TSMC CoWoS packaging as gating limits. Analysts project further contract-price rises into 2027.
Can you help with supply planning? Yes — we advise on allocation, lead times and second-source options for HBM-bundled parts.
